Then put in whatever you want. That's it.

In Word 2008 for Mac, if you want to save as .doc by default, click on the "Word" menu and select "Preferences." That's a regular Word file in Notebook view. Among other things, you can attach voice notes to it. It's pretty cool.

After you click on the Save in Word Preference, Just select Word 97-2004 Document from the list.

PDF is used to share and collaborate on documents This is the Normal View in inDesign. It's messy in there. Who would want to look at that? Without Portable Document Format we could print it or deal with the source program. Or with PDF....

the file printed to PDF by the Acrobat 8 Printer. Much easier to look at and it's hard to image working with design without it. The same concept hold for lawyers, ever have trouble opening one of those new Word files? PDF is one of the base technologies that sets information free.

This is the Properties of the PDF, that holds the metadata. Notice also the Security tab. No, a PDF is neither secure nor unalterable, unless you make it so. With Acrobat we have a large amount of control over our files, note the "Initial View" tab.
