Mac in the Paperless law office Macs are compatible and can run any full versions of Windows Vista and XP

Compatibility is a Myth: Macs Do it All Including run Windows

Many think that using a Mac will sequester them into a finite and esoteric realm of the digital world; the opposite is true.  Using a Mac has no impact on email or Internet use and the applications included with OS X - Mac Mail 3.1 and the web browser, Safari – are far superior to their Windows counterparts-Windows Mail and Internet Explorer. The essential desktop applications, Microsoft Office and Abode Acrobat, have Mac versions and a PDF or Word file are the same regardless of the operating system.  Read more about file compatibility in the Knowledge Base.

Even if you need to use Windows for a specific program, it's no problem.  In 2005 Apple switched to Intel processors, the same ones that run PCs.  As a result we can run full versions of Windows, and other operating systems, on the Mac.  In many of the video you will see a full version of Vista Ultimate running simultaneously with the Mac and it acts just like any other PC. In this arrangement, OS X is the host operating system and Windows is a “virtual machine.”  I know of three ways to run Windows on a Mac.  Mac OS X comes with Boot Camp, which boots directly into Windows instead of OS X.  Parallels and VM Fusion, are virtualization programs, that allow you to run Windows and OS X simultaneously in a variety of different views.
