It seems that every day more and more is being done on the web and browsers have come a long way to help make that happen. Here are couple of tips for using browser tabs, new windows, and dragging and dropping links to use the browser more effectively in Westlaw. In the video, I go over: 1. 3. Dragging and dropping links- a great way to open links in new tabs and windows so you have everything you want to look at open at once. Everything I go over in the video works on every site, and in every browser, it just so happens that the techniques are very handy for legal research.

I found this video on YouTube about Google Chrome OS. The days of installing programs on the computer are numbered; it's all internet these days. Check out the video, It just makes sense.
PS I highly recommend NOT using Internet Explorer. Chrome, Firefox, and Safari are all nice and free.
Web browsers work by reading a set of instructions to reassemble the text, images, other content that make up a web page. There has been significant convergence in the languages, rules, standards, and conventions used to give and read those instructions, but each browser's rendering engine handles it differently. That together with the features, user interfaces, and appearance software makers attach to their particular browser gives rise to a surprising degree of variability in user experience.
This variance can translate to a pleasurable and productive web surfing experience or not; the degree of variability increases with age of the browser.
Fortunately, there is no cause for concern and no reason to suffer under less than ideal conditions. It is fast, easy, and free to get the best there is.
